A Typical Day

Time runs fast. I can’t believe I’m still living and breathing for 22 years in this world already. I've been staying for two decades and dying is possibly coming on its way. Truly, death is inevitable. What we all need to do is live life with the best that we can and enjoy it while it last.

This time, my birthday was just a normal day for me. Twas just a typical day. We really don’t celebrate it since it’s against our beliefs. But at least, through this blog post I could extend my “thank you” to all those people who remembered my birthday.

My FB timeline was flooded with birthday greetings. I seldom post photos and statuses because I want my timeline to appear clean. I even scanned some photos which was a year older just to remove those crappy photos. And those greetings made my timeline a mess. But then again, it made me smile thinking there are lot of people who exerted time to visit my profile and greet me.

Anyway, I thank God for giving me the chance to live for more than 20 years. I've just realized there are so many people who love me. And lastly, people call me different names. Gosh! How the hell did that happen?!

These are some of the cutest and sweetest greetings ever.

Hello, Raqisah.
This may be late but we wanted to greet you a Happy Birthday! We wish you happiness, love, health and a good career. Always remember that we're always here for you. We may have different priorities now but we're still be your friends. We love you for who you are! Cheers to our friendship! Yongwonee, DATLUSHERS! Happy 22nd Birthday, Again Majinboo ...Mwahhh!

Sincerely Yours,
Ayasshi and Anie Lago .

Top 5 Songs in my Playlist

Hi guys! I really can’t live without music. It’s always been the best escape when I am not in the mood especially when I am flooded with depressing problems. Music will always make me calm and forget all those shitty burdens in life. I've made a list of my top fave songs as of now. I wanted to share it with you guys. These were constantly being played in my phone and I’m listening to it almost every day. I tried looking for some great covers in YouTube too. I even quoted the best line of every song. Hope you’ll enjoy listening to it just as I am.

1. Stay With Me - Sam Smith
Stay with Me" is a single by British singer-songwriter Sam Smith, as the third single from his debut studio album In the Lonely Hour (2014).

Official Lyric Video

This includes Sam Tsui, Hannah Trigwell, Bri Heart, Tyler Ward and many more awesome artists so make sure to check out them all!

Joseph Vincent's cover of Stay With Me. I just love him so I included it here. Sorry for being biased but you better check his covers too.

2. Rude - Magic!
"Rude" is track #1 on the album Don't Kill the Magic.

This video is s funny. He's still wearing that red beanie during the wedding.

Joseph Vincent

Kina Grannis

3. Quiet - Jason Mraz
Oh! I think this one is the best track from Jason Mraz new album YES!. The lyrics is just heart shattering and so full of emotions. I got stuck with this song. I can't find a decent cover of this one since it was released recently. But thanks to great soundcloud artists I've found one. It's a cover of Karlo Gian. Just click the link and you will be redirected to his soundcloud account. Quiet - Jason Mraz (Karlo Gutierrez cover)

4. All of Me - John Legend
"All Of Me" is track #6 on the album Love in the Future. I guess this song spread so fast to all ages. I can even hear lil kiddos singing this in our place. I even made my own cover of this song. But I won't post it here in my blog. I suck in singing so I better let myself be safe from embarrassment.

Official Lyric Video

5. XO - John Mayer
I prefer John Mayer's cover than the original one sang by Beyonce. I really am not sure what does XO means but according to what I have read it could mean kisses and hugs.

Hope you enjoy it guys. Til next post.

Immeasurable Childhood Happiness

It’s been a quite long time since my last blog post. I’m just idling this past few months posting blog because of my anticipation to find a job. But unfortunately, after having some metaphoric conversation with the head, everything was already in its place. I just don’t get it. Why do some people try to drag you down and spread ugly talks about you? Anyway, I don’t care at all. As long as I can have that job then everything is perfect. I was just a bit disappointed with the outcome of that gossip. It made me stock in our house without knowing that it’s already buzzing in that particular place. I should have been working today if that didn't come up. As much as possible I don’t want to mention anything here that will make someone at stake so I better not mention names. I know you are puzzled. But what I had experienced was just one of the reasons why life is so unfair. Life is unfair but that’s no reason to give up on it.

So much with loathing, let’s move on to the brighter side and filled ourselves with good vibes. Childhood years could be the best part of our life. It is where we don’t mind anything at all. We don’t care what’s happening in the world just like now. I am so depressed because I am just here sitting and thinking all of the “what ifs”, those wrong decisions I made that I felt so remorseful after the consequences were already been laid to me. How I wish I am still a little kiddo who only thinks of playing, playing and playing. It feels so good goofing around your playmates but in the end you are still playmates. Those moments when you are just staying at your school playground and experience all those different childhood games.

In my MA school, it happens that it has playground since they offer kindergarten and elementary levels. My babis and I tried to reminisce all those silly acts we did when we were still little and ride with the seesaws. All smiles were visible in our faces and realizing, it’s good to be a little kiddo ‘til the end.

Busy with your phone babi Laynie huh?!

Someone is bullying me.

The Balance.

Thanks for reading. 'Til next post.

65th Founding Anniversary of Matungao: Search for Bb. Gurong Maka-Kalikasan 2014

Reviving back the culture and tradition of the Maranao tribe was the best show off this event has given. Matungao, my hometown, is celebrating their 65th founding anniversary this month of June. It will take a long week of live and feisty celebration. Every barangay of Matungao is participating with their utmost best by displaying old antique Maranao artifacts in their respective tents.

One of the main highlight of this event, which was organized by Dr. Monisa Maba, the district supervisor in the said municipality, is the search for Bb. Gurong Maka-Kalikasan 2014. I was given a chance to witness this rare event and volunteered as one of the photographer of one of the contestant. Two of the judges aside from Dr. Maba were members of Frontrow Inc.

The candidates were outrageously stunning and I was amazed with their breathtaking and splendid talents. They really boost up all their full energy and bestowed efforts for this occasion. I can say that this beauty pageant was not a so-so.

I was just quite disappointed with the absence of the question and answer portion. In every pageant, it’s the most awaited part. Perhaps, the pageant had been more successful if they were able to put up questions related to conserving our natural resources and protecting our environment as related to the winning title which is Bb. Gurong Maka-Kalikasan.
